NEWS JUST IN!
MIHAL COZMEI HORSEBACK ARCHERY ADVANCED CLINIC -MAY 16/17th 2020 at THE CENTRE OF HORSEBACK COMBAT.

We are delighted to be able to offer an Intermediates and Advanced Horse Archery 2 day weekend camping course here at The Centre of Horseback Combat with one of the world’s best Horseback Archers -Mihal Cozmei who is currently living in Finland.
Mihal has achieved the highest grading HA7 and competes in International competition and hosts clinics all around the globe.
Mihal makes his own bows and has such vast knowledge on horseback archery techniques so you’ll be sure to learn new skills and improve on what you know already.

Places will be limited on a first come first served basis.
Horses supplied by The Centre of Horseback Combat.
Camping available on site and BBQ on the Saturday evening..
Please bring your own equipment on this course.
Riding level: min confident canter.
Archery level: Able to shoot at least one arrow from a horse at trot and
/or canter. Sorry no beginners to Horseback Archery on this weekend, we have beginners camps available. See website.

Our minds are fully on hosting an Open Horseback Archery Competition this summer .... currently thinking the last weekend of July or first weekend in August.... what do people think? Looking forward to your comments and suggestions

2020 NATIONAL OPEN HORSEBACK ARCHERY
COMPETITION.
Working on a Open National Horseback Archery competition at our centre, The Centre of Horseback Combat, Hertfordshire for this year 2020.
The centre has been hosting National and International competitions since 2010.
We would like to Pre advertise this event to gain interest.
Any association and or club competitors are welcome to enter.
We do have a selection of trained experienced horses available for hire or you are welcome to bring your own trained and insured Horseback archery horse.
Camping on site available and penning areas for horses on the grounds of a 2000 acre country estate.
We are only 10 mins from main motorway routes and train stations.
We need to find out peoples general availability for a weekend date, please pop a comment below if you'd like to attend and your commitments to any other comps, events etc.
The IHAA has no dates up yet for 2020 for us to avoid clashing with.
Styles to be decided but most likely a Korean style, a Hungarian track plus another.

The Centre of Horseback Combat is based on the historic 2000 acre estate in the heart of the most beautiful country in Hertfordshire. It is the UKs only school dedicated to horseback combat - horseback archery, lance, throwing knife, pistol, sword and horseback gymnastics.

The Centre is home to the National Horseback Archery Society affiliated to the World Horseback Archery Federation in Korea and authorised by the Federation to teach traditional Horseback Archery techniques.

We are also home to the British Equestrian Dzhigitovka and Trick Riding Association, training in a multi-weapon discipline whereby sword, lance, throwing knife and pistol are all used together in a traditional Russian sport called "Dzhigitovka" (Dzhigit = "mounted soldier" and Tovka = "art")

Our sportsmen and women regularly travel around the world to compete in International Competition as Team GB in both sports, this year travelling to Jordan, Korea, Russia, Mongolia as well as holding National and International Competition here at the Centre.
