🌺Only 16 days left.

For 25 years, we’ve supported women and girls through creativity, connection, and trauma-informed support. Now we’re working to secure our first permanent home — a space where women can heal, grow, create, and belong.❤️

We’re so close, but we need your help to make it happen.

Please donate if you can, and share with your friends, family, and networks. Every contribution makes a difference.

❤️ Thank you for believing in this vision.

Secure Our Home, Secure Our Future

Help us secure our first permanent home. With our space ending again this July, women in Calderdale need a safe place to grow and belong.

⭐️ Last night, Sharon, Jeff and Sam had the honour of attending the Community Spirit Awards as finalists.

It was an amazing evening being surrounded by so many inspiring people and organisations all doing incredible work across Calderdale to support our communities. The passion, dedication and community spirit in the room was truly inspiring.

We’re incredibly proud to have been recognised alongside so many people making a real difference every day, and grateful to be part of such a supportive and caring community. 💙

Some great exhibitions happening locally ... we recommend this from Hamish Irvine

PAKISTAN – The country I was told not to visit

‘The country I was told not to visit’ exhibition brings together 28 photographs from a twelve-day journey across Pakistan. It celebrates Pakistan, while also acknowledging the tensions and complexities it faces.

“I chose to point my camera in the direction of daily life, focusing on the cheeky moments in between the ordinary ones, capturing the peace of Islam, the feeling of community across Pakistan, the effervescent children always out playing and the humbling everyday kindness granted to us and everyone else living there.”

Photographs from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Mirpur and Karachi are on display in Hamish Irvine’s exhibition at Seven Arts in Leeds. View the Pakistan photography exhibition images online on Hamish Irvine’s website here.

Hamish Irvine is a photographer based in Chapel Allerton, Leeds. He photographs weddings across the UK and abroad from March through December, taking the winter months to travel the globe with his camera. Hamish’s photographic style is colourful, emotional, natural, and full of life.

✨ 7 Ages of Women – Final Session with Invictus Wellbeing ✨

Last Wednesday, as part of our 7 Ages of Women project, we held our final session with the incredible young women from Invictus Wellbeing. 💛

What a beautiful session it was as we explored the voice of a woman and what that truly means. 🌸✨

These young women were wise, honest, and incredibly brave — sharing parts of themselves that are so often hidden away. Their openness, reflections, and creativity made the session incredibly powerful. 💫

We are so proud of every one of them and look forward to working together again very soon on future projects. 🎨📝🤍

A huge thank you to the young women for trusting the space and sharing their voices. 🕊️

We are also incredibly grateful for the support of National Lottery Awards for All 🎟️🍀 in making this work possible.

✨ 7 Ages of Women – Our First Session with Women & Girls 💬🕊️✨

As part of our 7 Ages of Women project, supported by The National Lottery Awards For All🎟️🍀, we are delivering creative sessions with different groups of women across the community.

This Tuesday, we held our very first session with women and girls, and the space was filled with connection, creativity, and positive energy. 💫💛 Women and girls from different backgrounds came together to explore the many qualities women possess—sharing thoughts, experiences, words, and ideas through meaningful creative activities. 🎨📝✨

It was especially lovely to welcome back some of the girls from our previous sessions with Beech Hill School, this time alongside their beautiful mums 🌟—strengthening confidence, connection, and a real sense of community through the project.

We were also joined by Shamin, Lucy and Hana from One Voice 💛, with Hana kindly supporting our non-English speaking participants through translation, helping ensure everyone felt included, heard, and able to share their voices. 🕊️✨

The session was full of honesty, laughter, reflection, and powerful conversations, and we are so excited to continue weaving these voices and experiences together as the project grows. 💫

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and contributed so openly—it truly means so much. 🤍

✨ Behind the Mask – Session Three: Exploring Freedom ✨

In our third Behind the Mask session, we came together to explore what freedom means to each woman in the room 💬💫.

Through honest conversation, reflection, and creativity, powerful thoughts and personal stories unfolded—each one offering a deeply personal perspective on freedom. As the masks began to fall away, the space filled with openness, trust, and connection 🕊️✨.

Some of the voices shared:

💬 “Freedom is a chance for a new life of my own—and choosing who I want to be.”
💬 “Freedom to just be myself without having to live up to anyone else’s expectations.”
💬 “Being at peace and not being manipulated by other people’s agendas.”
💬 “No violence or aggression.”
💬 “To be able to sit in silence and enjoy the present moment.”
💬 “Being with people who feel safe… sharing life journeys, lessons, beauty, and love.”

Each reflection was a reminder that freedom is not one thing—it’s safety, choice, peace, and the ability to simply be. 🤍

Thank you to all the incredible women who continue to show up, share, and hold space for one another. Your voices, your truth, and your courage are what make this journey so powerful.💛🌟

✨ Voices Rising – Final Session with Our First Group 💬🕊️✨

As part of our 7 Ages of Women project, supported by The National Lottery Awards For All 🎟️🍀, we deliver sessions with different groups of women across the community. Last Tuesday, we held our final session with our first group, with around 14 women attending, including Shamin from One Voice 💛.

Together, we gathered powerful words, reflections, stories, and images exploring *the voice of a woman* 🎨📝✨—each contribution honest, moving, and deeply meaningful.

The voices in the room shone loud and proud 🔊🌟 and will now be woven together with those from our other group sessions to create something truly beautiful 💫🕊️.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part for your openness, honesty, and courage in sharing. It truly means so much 💛🤍.

We are also incredibly grateful to National Lottery Awards For All for making this work possible 🍀✨.
