Bomere Heath Village Hall is a huge part of our Fete and Fun Day ⭐️ So it’s very exciting that this morning they have BBC Shropshire’s Clare Ashford with them, as part of Village Halls Week, to enjoy the lovely Coffee Shop and a brilliant food share with the Shrewsbury Food Hub.

From 1pm you can even take part in a game of bingo!

Pop down this morning and support our wonderful village hall and show Shropshire what a fantastic community we have here in Bomere Heath 💛

We all had SO much fun at the Bomere Heath Fete and Fun Day, wouldn’t it be great to continue that community spirit all through the year! 🤩

The Village Hall Volunteers work hard to put on events for those living in the village and beyond, but they need to know what type of events you’d attend.

📣 This is your opportunity to let them know what you’d be interested in. Would you be able to pick the winning horse at a Race Night? 🐎 Or maybe you’ve perfected your Whitney Houston and are ready to perform to the village at Karaoke? 🎤🪩

💬 Comment on their post to share your thoughts on what events you’d like to see!

We're hoping to hold another Fete this year. Date provisionally set for Saturday 12th September 2026.
However, we need more people to get involved, both in the planning & on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly.
We're holding our first planning meeting on Monday 19th January at 7.30pm in The Red Lion Lounge.
If you think you're could help, even if just in a small way, please come along.
Comment on this post or message this page if you'd like a chat about what's involved.

A few days have passed since the Fete & now when driving through the Village it's hard to believe it even happened!!

However it did, and after some big sums we can now tell you that we have some funds to give to the Village Hall, the School PTFA, the Sunshine Pre-School and the Village Scout Group.

We always intended that the monies raised from the activities managed by the Fete on the day would go to ''Village Causes'.

The raffle made a whopping £516.50 and with the extra earned by the Bake-Off, Photography Competition, the Human Fruit Machine & the Fete's share of the Bouncy Castle income (this was shared 50:50 with the Scouts for helping to run it), after we've deducted inevitable costs, we're left with a total of £560 to be split 4 ways. So £140 will be heading towards each of our 4 Causes. 😁

Thank you once again to everyone who came along & who spent a little cash to help support our Village. ❤️❤️

Well it's a wrap!
What can I say? It felt like the whole Village came out today (& from further a field) & the whole of the organising team would like to say a big thank you to every single one of you.
The atmosphere on the closed off street & on the school field was epic!
Prepare to blasted with photos over the next few days!

Well, today is the day we have all been waiting for, and what a fun packed day we have in store 🤩 We cannot wait to see you all there! ✨

🚍 Tanat Valley bus service (576 Shrewsbury to Oswestry) will be diverted away from Shrewsbury Road and will enter and leave the village via the Baschrch Road until 7pm. So the bus is still a great option if you don’t want to bring your car.
