Today we visited the Liverpool Women’s and made our first cash donation as a charity of £5,000!!👏🏼🩷

As a result of the charity match with Honeysuckle FC, we managed to raise £2,000 so thank you so much for everyone who attended and donated. Your donations have gone directly to the Women’s to provide funds for the NICU, the Honeysuckle bereavement team and the rainbow clinic who support families through pregnancies after loss!

This is a huge milestone for us and it’s amazing to be able to donate so much to a hospital that did so much to us as a family!🫶🏽

On the 9th of May Mike Monk Lyons along with a few others, took on the three peaks challenge! He absolutely smashed his fundraising target and raised a MASSIVE £670 for Wren’s Way!🩷

Thankfully he came out of that injury free and was able to play a part in our charity match on the weekend being our starting goalkeeper playing the first half!🩵

There will be raffle tickets, tombola tickets, bouncy castle entry, hook a duck entry, penalty shootout entry and Matchday programmes that can all be purchased on the day👍🏻 (If anyone can’t attend but wants raffle tickets you can message us today and we can arrange it)

Game day is nearly here and we wanted to share the story about our opponents on Sunday - HONEYSUCKLE FC💜

Here is a little bit about the team and the amazing bond that has been created by a group of bereaved dads all supporting one another:

“Honeysuckle FC was established through a partnership between LFC Foundation and the Liverpool Women's University Hospital with the aim of creating support for men affected by babyloss and bereavement.

What began with just a few dads coming together through shared experience has grown into something incredibly special. That is a reflection of the exceptional partnership commitment and compassion shown by everyone involved alongside the amazing dads who attend each week and make Honeysuckle FC such a welcoming, supportive and understanding environment for others.

With support from Edgehill University and 4Louis charity the work has also helped shape a research-led model that is now being recognized as a blueprint for bereavement support for dads and men, with other football charities and NHS trusts beginning to replicate the Honeysuckle FC approach. We hope many more will follow”

We cannot wait to meet their whole team on Sunday on what will be a special and emotional day with us remembering Wren, one year on from her passing. We will also be remembering all the special little ones from the Honeysuckle team who’s names are always on their dads backs👼🪽

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY!🩷🩵

From all of us at Wren’s Way, thank you so much for everything you do! Thank you for every long shift, every comforting word, every critical decision, and every moment you care for our precious little bundles of Joy!

Any nurse that looked after Wren knows she had a funny way of showing them she loved them but it was so amazing to see her show her little personality even if she did give some of the nurses evils😂🫣 (below is a picture of how she looked at every nurse…👀)
