🦅 FPCA Falcons U11s – Match Report ⚽️

Today our U11 Falcons headed into their first game of this competitive season on a very wet and bitterly cold Sunday morning 🥶 — but it also turned out to be a special day in the club’s history, as this match marked FPCA Football Club’s first ever home win 👏🦅.
Despite the conditions and a long break from matches, the team started brightly. We were switched on from the first whistle and looked ready for the challenge. Our attacking play was strong, with the majority of possession spent in the opposition half, creating plenty of chances. This pressure paid off as we went into half-time 2–0 up, thanks to two well-taken goals from Teddie.
In the second half we perhaps became a little too comfortable at times. The opposition found their way through on a few occasions, causing us some panic. However, we regrouped well and added a third goal after a lovely free kick from Harley, followed by quick reactions from James, who slid in to poke the ball home after a goalkeeping fumble to make it 3–0 👏.
To their credit, the opposition kept pushing. Although we defended well overall, we lost our shape a little too often and were caught short on a few occasions, eventually conceding a well-worked goal to make the final score 3–1 at the full-time whistle.

• Forwards: Worked relentlessly and were rewarded with plenty of chances.
• Midfield: Tireless throughout, moved the ball forward well and were strong in the middle.

Every single player gave 100%. A very positive start to the season and a historic moment for the club. There is still plenty to work on, but if we keep bringing this level of effort to training and matches, the rewards will follow.
