💙💙 GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN — THIS WEEKEND WAS FOR STEVEN RAINBOW 💙💙

This weekend, we would like to dedicate our wins to someone who will forever hold a special place in the heart of FPCA Football Club — Steven Rainbow.

Steven was more than just a supporter of our club. This club was his idea, his vision, and the beginning of something that continues to bring people together through football. His legacy lives on in every player who pulls on our badge, every goal we celebrate, and every battle we face together as a team.

⚽ U9s Tigers — A Special First Goal

Our U9s had a fantastic match, made even more special by Steven’s grandson scoring his FIRST EVER GOAL — with his left foot! ❤️

We can only imagine how proud Steven would have been watching that moment. A memory to treasure, and a goal that means so much more than just what was on the scoresheet.

💙 U15s Arrows — Heart, Fight and Determination

Our U15s showed exactly what this club is all about. Facing an 11-a-side match with just 7 players against a full squad, they dug deep, battled for each other and refused to give up.

The result? A hard-fought 1–0 WIN and all three points! 💪⚽

That kind of spirit, togetherness and determination is what grassroots football is all about — and what we want FPCA Football Club to represent.

💙 Steven, these wins are for you.

From the idea you had to start this club, to the players representing FPCA today, your legacy continues to grow. We will keep building, keep supporting our players, and keep making memories together.

Football is about so much more than the result. It’s about family, friendships, community and the people who make it all possible.

We use Paul and Mark from PM Pitch Marking for all our pitches at FPCA Football Club, and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

The wait is nearly over! Tomorrow morning we’re opening the doors to FPCA Football Club as we prepare for the 2026/27 season.

Whether you’re already part of FPCA, new to football, or an existing grassroots player looking for a new club and team, we’d love to see you.

🌦️ WEATHER UPDATE

We’re aware that the weather is forecast to turn during the afternoon.

At the moment, we’re expecting the U9 and U12 sessions to be completed as planned.

For our U15 parents/carers, please remain nearby/on site during the session. If the weather deteriorates earlier than expected, we may need to cut the U15 session short for everyone’s safety.

We’ll make decisions on the day based on the actual conditions.

🚗 PARKING

Please use the Haxey Playing Fields car park first.

When this becomes full, additional parking is available at The Kings Arms Haxey from 10am–12pm.

If parking on surrounding roads, please park safely and considerately, keeping entrances, driveways and access routes clear.

🏏 PLEASE REMEMBER

Cricket will be using the ground from 12pm, so please keep players, children and equipment away from the cricket square and designated cricket areas. Our football activities will remain within the FPCA areas.

🎒 PLAYERS – DON’T FORGET

🛡️ Shin pads are compulsory
💧 Bring a full drinks bottle
👕 Wear suitable football/training clothing
👟 Suitable boots/trainers for the conditions

Please aim to arrive 10–15 minutes before your session to allow time for parking and registration.

The Kings Arms Haxey is just across the road and opens from 12pm, offering food and drinks, live sport, a garden area and a friendly family atmosphere.

There’s no pressure and no commitment from attending — just get involved and enjoy some football.

Our sessions will include fun warm-ups, football drills, skills and plenty of small-sided matches.

🚗 PARKING

Parking is available at Haxey Playing Fields. Please use the main car park where possible.

If the car park becomes full, overflow parking is available at the Kings Arms, Haxey.

Please park responsibly and be considerate of our neighbours and other users of the playing fields.

☕ REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments will be available around the pavilion during the morning, so parents can grab a drink while watching the football.

⚽ FOOTBALL CARD

We’ll also have our FPCA Football Card running during the morning — have a go, support the club and you could win a prize!

Players should arrive ready to play with:

Our existing FPCA players will be there too, so new players can come straight into a proper club environment and meet their potential new teammates.
