This free event is on over Easter weekend (this coming weekend), Good Friday (3rd); Holy Saturday (4th); and, Easter Sunday (5th) starting at 7.30pm.

It is a wonderful interactive and performative piece detailing the last few days of Jesus's life, leading up to the Crucifixiton, the Crucifixiton itself and The Resurrection, which really brings the story to life in a moving and relatable way.

This project has been going strong since 1995 and is put on every 4-5years. It brings together local Christians of many denominations to help spread the true meaning of Easter.

I have been given the privilege to be able to help and take part in this years production.

It would be wonderful to see people from the local community come down and visit us for the play.

A reminder it's free, starts at 7.30pm on April 3rd, 4th & 5th, and as it only occurs once every 4-5years - I'd encourage you don't wait for the next one, come down and visit us this Easter weekend and learn the true story of Easter. Whether you're religious or not, the acting is 👌

I haven't posted to this page in a while, as I've not had much reason to do so. However, small projects have taken place since the end of the Remembrance Period.

Our Annual Project "Project Comfort " took place over the Christmas season, providing tubs of sweets to our Public Servants over Christmas.

At this time of year there is a strain on our services and often those who care for us the most are forgotten about, especially at this busy time, while they're trying to keep us safe.

It is important to remember they're human beings too, and small gestures like this makes a great difference to their day.

1 lot of 4 tubs, 1 of each variety (Quality Street; Heroes; Roses; and Celebrations) were issued to the following public servants and organisations between 16th to 28th Dec:

● Romford Police Station

● King George and Queens Hospital Charity

● London Fire Brigade Hornchurch 39F

● Romford North East London Paramedic and Ambulance Service

● Blues and Royals, King's Guard (Horses Guard Parade, Whitehall)

● St. Andrews Church (Hornchurch)
--------------------------------------------------------------
● Additionally, King George and Queens Hospital Charity recieved a donation amount of £30, to buy Fruit boxes (Fresh Fruit) for the doctors and staff at the Hospitals; this is because it was requested last year, as opposed to receiving chocolate.

Our annual Burns Night celebration is back in 2026! We look forward to once again celebrating the life of Rabbie Burns over Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, with a wee dram of whisky!

Short video of the poppies at St Edwards the Confessor in Romford Market place. Flowers are up until the 22nd. I filmed this about a week ago, but forgot to upload it.

It's been years since I've seen a street market in Hornchurch.
