What a fantastic evening we had. Sophie and Janine gave a really interesting account of there adventure rowing across the Atlantic, telling us about the lows as well as the highs.
Janine is the oldest lady at 70 to achieve this and is such an inspiration to us 'older' ladies, demonstrating that nothing is impossible if you really want it!
Sophie is the first lady with Cystic Fibrosis, a condition that affects the lungs and digestive system requiring daily medication. Her determination to overcome all problems was an inspiration.
Obviously both ladies were supported by the other two ladies in the team Polly and Miyah.
Donations were welcomed in support of Paul Sartori and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
Thank you to all the visitors from other WIs, I hope they enjoyed the talk as well.
Our next meeting is Monday 13th July and will be a wine tasting garden party. All welcome.
