Harrow Carers is an independent voluntary organisation and the lead carers support agency in Harrow. Since 1996, we have developed a network of services and support for carers to reduce the burden and increase the life chances of unpaid carers who provide support for people in the community who are ill, frail, disabled and disadvantaged in many ways. A Carer is any person who receives no

pay for supporting a parent or relative, an elderly, physically and mentally ill or disabled person or persons experiencing substance abuse and those with terminal conditions. Our Vision

✨ A valuable day of learning and connection ✨Harrow Carers had the privilege of attending a teaching session on “Moving with Understanding: Safe Handling for Patients with Cognitive Impairment” at on Monday 18 May.
It was a fantastic opportunity to learn alongside colleagues from Older People and Dementia Services, Falls Services, and the Moving and Handling Team.
We were also proud to have Harrow Carers’ Dementia Lead, Roshanthi, join with our wonderful befriending volunteers, Fazilla and Rajal 💜

We’re delighted to launch REIGNITE, a monthly, welcoming for carers and people living with 💙
REIGNITE is a relaxed, supportive space where people can enjoy music together, socialise, and connect — no singing experience needed.
📅 First session: Tuesday 14th April 2026
🗓 Then every 2nd Tuesday of the month
⏰ 11:00am – 1:00pm
📍 74 Pinner View, HA1 4QF
☕ Enjoy music, friendly company, tea, coffee and biscuits
🎵 All ages welcome

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Young Carers Family Support Navigator to join our dynamic, creative and supportive Children & Young Adult Carers Team at Carers.

This vital role focuses on supporting young carers and their families, helping to bridge the gap between families, schools and local services. You’ll provide compassionate, practical and outcomes‑focused support to help families overcome barriers, strengthen relationships and access the right support to thrive.
