We have been working on this project for over a year and we are ready to tell you of our exciting plans to open this amazing community café inside a lovely little park in Stanmore. Although the park has a purpose-built café, it is not yet open to the public. With your support, we can transform it into a warm, welcoming space offering healthy food, creative activities, including arts and crafts and wellbeing support for local families, children, and residents of all ages. We’ve celebrated four years of bringing carers and local residents together to reduce social isolation and support one another. This week marks the fourth anniversary of the Stanmore Library Arts and Crafts Club, which we helped establish. The weekly (Tuesdays 1-3pm), club continues to grow and has made a real difference in the community. It provides a safe, welcoming space where people can develop, connect and build friendships. It is a simple idea that shows how a local place like a library can create the positive change people want to see.

Save the date for the Families Together SEND Event, taking place on Saturday 30th May 2026, organised by BANG.

BANG is a community led charity based in Brent that works closely with local families, community organisations, and support services to create inclusive opportunities for children and young people. We specialise in delivering welcoming, accessible activities that support wellbeing, connection, and inclusion for the SEND community.

This will be a low pressure, enjoyable day for the SEND community, open to children, families, and friends, and designed to be accessible, relaxed, and inclusive. We hope it will complement the work local wellbeing and community organisations already do to support families they work with.
