It’s been a little while since we’ve posted on the Harrow Sikh pages, and we want to take a moment to reconnect with you all. As many of you know, everything we do is entirely voluntary. Like you, we juggle family responsibilities, work, and community commitments, so sometimes our updates may be a little delayed. But rest assured, we remain committed to doing our bit and contributing to our vibrant community whenever we can.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been fortunate to be involved in some truly meaningful activities that we’d love to share with you. During Interfaith Week, we had the privilege of making appearances across our local area, meeting people from different backgrounds, and celebrating the spirit of unity and understanding. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbours, learn from one another, and showcase the importance of coming together as a community.
We were also grateful to participate in Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day, moments that give us a chance to pause, reflect, and pay our respects to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Being part of these events reminds us of the value of remembering history, honouring bravery, and appreciating the freedoms we enjoy today.
On a lighter and equally exciting note, we’re thrilled to introduce a fun new initiative: Coffee & Carrom! This casual, social gathering takes place every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. It’s the perfect way to meet new people, catch up with old friends, and enjoy some friendly competition over a round of Carrom. Whether you’re an experienced player or trying it for the first time, everyone is welcome. Bring a friend, enjoy a warm cup of coffee, and let’s have some fun together.
We hope to see you at 11am this Thursday for the next session. It’s all about connection, friendship, and community spirit — and the more, the merrier! Thank you for your continued support, for being part of this journey with us, and for helping us make a positive impact in Harrow.
