Independence at Home UK Our grants improve the lives of individuals with long term illness and disability by making a positive difference to their independence at home.

We make grants to support individuals with long-term illness and disability living in the UK. Many of the people we help are from low income households and are unable to buy specialist equipment or make adaptations to improve independence at home or to obtain what they need from public funding. The financial support we give through our grant making helps towards the purchase of specialist mobility

and disability equipment, communication and daily living aids and home adaptations. This provides immediate and practical help improving the independence, safety, comfort and quality of life of some of the most vulnerable members of our society. Last year we celebrated 50 years of dedicated service having helped more than 40,000 individuals in this time. Our work is made possible by the generous support of charitable trusts and individuals who make donations, providing a positive impact on the lives of beneficiaries and their families and carers.
