There are so many ways to get involved with local issues and make a difference to the lives of other people. At MLE, we make it possible for you to get together with other like minded people and develop projects for the community. If you are looking to make new friends and find out what opportunities are available or looking for a job, we are here to help. We offer a range of opportunities to get more involved in your local community, including information, support, training and job clubs. Have you heard about the changes that HMRC are making to new companies and social enterprises such as Community Interest Companies (CICs)? The new Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, has introduced the biggest changes to Companies House since 1844, including important changes to UK company law. Companies House has announced fee increases taking effect on 1 May 2024, affecting all new and existing UK companies. So, what do you need to do now?
