We are also honoured to announce that after providing trees for the emperor of Japan’s Birthday party this year, our show will be officially opened by a senior member of staff from the Japanese Embassy.

The UK Bonsai Association Bonsaiassociation put my name forward to supply the trees to the Japanese Embassy for the emperor's birthday party which was very successful.
What I didn't expect was an invite to the ambassador's personal residence for tea and sushi. I thought this event would have more people attending but it was just for us Twickenham Bonsai club Tina Todd joint chairpersons .
It was scheduled for an HR but we chatted for 1/½ .. fabulous experience.

Today we had a club day trip to a local country park where we had permission to collect trees in a few set areas
Weather was good and the bonsai banter was the normal level as you would expect
Quality day with some cool material coming home with the members including Scot’s pine, hemlock and plenty of silver birch
