Last night group members tried something new- we are going to have one session a month that's a "quiet night", where we'll practice some mindfulness meditation and focus on one person talking at a time.
For many people, a brain injury leads to difficulties with coping with noise. By trialling quiet nights we hope others will join us to still feel connected to others with brain injuries, but in a calmer environment. The remaining sessions through the month will still be lively and with lots of chatter!
We kicked off the first of these quiet nights by sitting quietly and comfortably while listening to The Lark Ascending- bringing in Spring and new beginnings 🎶
