The Hamble Players are a long-established Amateur Theatrical Group – in fact, we believe that our origins may well have been in a Services group which existed at the end of World War 2. We enjoy a reputation as one of the leading groups in the South of England, as much for our professional approach to AmDram as the quality of our productions.

Hamble Players first 2026 production is Darkness Falls, a double bill of supernatural tales. 24th-28th March.
In The Monkey's Paw, a family is granted three wishes, all of which come true, but in a macabre and unexpected way.
In The Dark, a successful and ambitious novelist meets his Mephistopheles and is dispatched to a sinister fate.
Tickets for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings are £10, and then £12 for Thursday, Friday or Saturday evenings.

WHAT A SHOW! The Hamble Players pantomime has officially kicked off the Christmas season. Thank you so much to everyone who came to see the performance. Your laughter, boos, shouts, and singing made it truly special for the cast and crew. Oh yes, it did!
We’re also pleased to announce that this year’s chosen charity is Simon Says, a wonderful organisation that offers support to children and young people who have lost a loved one.

WANTED..... King Rat's Ratlings

The fabulous Sue Barton Leigh and Tim Hughes are directing this year's Hamble players panto
Dick Whittington
We are looking for four enthusiastic and energetic young people aged 12 to 16 to be part of King Rat's dastardly army of Ratlings.
No experience necessary.
These characters have a few lines and are involved in songs and dances, but don't let that put you off. It's all in Panto style.
The auditions will be held at 2pm on Sunday 9th November at the Hamble memorial hall.
Parents or guardians will be required to chaperone during performance week which is
November 30 thought to the 7th December

What a remarkable show! Together, we chased away those dark clouds as we honoured the end of WWII. A heartfelt thank you to our Hamble Players audience for joining us in this special celebration. Your voices filled the air with song, and we shared both laughter and tears as we told our family’s story.
Behind such moments of magic is a dedicated team, and the cast extends their gratitude to the stage management, technical, catering, and front of house teams for their incredible work in making us shine on stage!

This performance holds a special place in our hearts, reflecting the experiences of a family whose loved ones went to war.
