The community gathered in solemn unity for this year’s Remembrance Service Parade, honouring the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve in the armed forces. With poppies pinned proudly and heads bowed in silence, people of all ages came together to pay their respects. Veterans, service personnel, cadets, and local organisations marched to the sound of drums and bugles, leading the way to the war memorial where wreaths were laid in a moving act of remembrance.
As the Last Post echoed through the crisp November air, a quiet moment of reflection fell across the crowd - a time to remember not only those who gave their lives in conflict but also those whose lives were forever changed by war. The event was a poignant reminder of the enduring importance of remembrance and gratitude. Through every salute, hymn, and shared silence, the spirit of unity and respect shone brightly, ensuring that the legacy of the fallen will never be forgotten.
We will remember them.
