Sunday the 4th of October, 09:00 - 16:00. Visit a pop up market that isn't just about shopping, it's about developing our town.

Sowerby Bridge CIC is directly involved with this pop‑up market through full event administration, including trader paperwork, compliance checks, and on‑the‑day coordination. As part of our remit to strengthen community activity and support town‑centre regeneration, we are using this event to gather meaningful insight from residents, traders and visitors about the potential for more regular market activity in Sowerby Bridge.

Throughout the day, we will be conducting a community consultation to understand local appetite, practical considerations, and the types of market provision people would like to see. This information will help shape future community‑led proposals and inform constructive discussions with partners and authorities. While any formal decisions about long‑term market provision rest with the relevant bodies, Sowerby Bridge CIC’s role is to facilitate engagement and ensure that community voices are clearly represented.

All pitch fees from this event go directly to Sowerby Bridge CIC, enabling us to continue delivering operational support, local regeneration activity, and town‑centre activation projects that benefit the people of Sowerby Bridge. More on this shortly...
