From helping children get the best start in life to supporting families, improving health and wellbeing, and bringing communities together, our work is all about making a positive difference across Calderdale.

Our Annual Impact Report, covering April 2025 to March 2026, looks back at what we’ve achieved together.

Here are just a few highlights:
👩‍👩‍👧‍👧 3,330 families accessed our Family Hub groups.
🏡 1,073 families received one-to-one Family Support.
❤️ 293 Staying Well referrals.

The report reflects the breadth of NHP’s work during the year, including our services for children and families, community wellbeing and, from August 2025, our management of Mixenden Activity Centre - MAC.

Behind these figures are people, partnerships and communities working together towards our vision - a better future for all generations.

Are you looking for some kid friendly walks this October half term?🚶‍♀️

Little Legs are hosting some FREE walks, led by experienced walk leaders. They are relaxed guided walks and are a great way to get outdoors, discover hidden local gems, enjoy beautiful views, and spend quality time together as a family.

Along the way, children can take part in a Nature Scavenger Hunt and learn some simple navigation skills, making it a fun and educational adventure for all ages.

🍂🎃 Autumn fun at our Northowram and Shelf Family Hub Baby and Toddler Group! 🎃🍂

The little ones have been getting creative with some lovely autumn-themed activities this week!

They had fun making their very own munchkin pumpkins, using real pumpkins for inspiration while exploring colours, shapes and textures and letting their imaginations run wild. 🎨

Things got a little spooky, too, as the children searched for spiders hiding in fluffy foam! There was plenty of sensory fun as little hands squished, explored and discovered different textures. 🕷️

Activities like these are a wonderful way for little ones to learn, explore and develop through play. 💚

Today marks the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week 2026.

Baby Loss Awareness Week provides an opportunity for everyone in the baby loss community, and beyond, to come together to remember the much loved and deeply missed babies who have been lost too soon.

There are several events taking place across Calderdale where families, friends and the wider community can come together to remember babies lost too soon, including:

We’re very sad to share that North Halifax Partnership’s time managing Mixenden Activity Centre - MAC will come to an end in the coming weeks.

NHP put forward a thorough business case for MAC through the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) process. We have now been informed a political decision has been made not to proceed with the proposed transfer to NHP.

We’re disappointed by this decision, but immensely proud of what has been achieved.

MAC has never just been about the activities. It has been about the people who walk through the door - the friendships made, familiar faces, shared meals, conversations, laughter and having somewhere to belong.

It has provided local groups with a space to meet, build partnerships and develop new opportunities, while giving young people positive things to do and get involved in.

We’ll work closely with regular users over the coming weeks to help ensure no one is left without the connections and activities they rely on.
