๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ฒ Active Travel Survey โ Results are in!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the recent Active Travel Survey. An amazing 407 responses were received โ the county's highest response rate for any Active Travel survey to date! ๐
The results show strong support for making it easier and safer to walk, wheel and cycle, both for local journeys and for longer trips.
Some of the key findings include:
๐น 82% of Haddenham and Aldreth respondents would like to walk, wheel or cycle more often.
๐น 84% of all respondents would like to make longer journeys by walking, wheeling or cycling more often.
๐น 66% said they would probably or definitely consider switching from a car or other motorised vehicle to active travel for longer journeys if suitable measures were introduced.
๐น 48% would like to regularly cycle to both Ely and the Cambridge to St Ives corridor.
The findings are now helping to shape potential next steps, including exploring a Quiet Lane connection towards Ely and the feasibility of a route from Aldreth towards the Cambridge to St Ives corridor.
These are early-stage proposals, but the survey provides valuable evidence of the demand for better active travel connections.
