SENDIAS service manager’s top tips for inspections 📣

1️⃣ Aim to have two of you present to give one another breathing space, thinking time, and breaks.
2️⃣ Share any reasonable adjustments needed to meet your own needs ahead of time.
3️⃣ Use Post-it notes with key statistics and easy-to-read heading lists. Tick items off as you go, then check at the end that you covered everything you wanted to say.
4️⃣ Think about the day-to-day operational life of the service and how best to present and celebrate this.
5️⃣ Reflect on what could be better and what you are doing — or could do — to achieve improvements.
6️⃣ Consider your local area knowledge, including how local systems work and who you signpost people to.
