As we move in to May, the choice of gardens open for you to visit raises with the temperature and sunshine.
This weekend on both the Saturday (9th) and Sunday (10th), Falconers in Lytchett Matravers opens its gates. You will find a fascinating garden with mature trees, a pond, herbaceous borders, climbers and a vegetable garden together with some very clever and imaginative planting in old wheel barrows and a collection of porcelain bedpans! Your host is a Queen’s Nurse so it is very fitting that you will be contributing to the Queen’s Institute of Community Nursing together with other health charities.
On Sunday (10th), 39 Pergin Crescent welcomes you. This pretty garden is set on a quiet crescent in Poole. It is a small cottage style garden with colourful perennials including roses, alliums and irises. The small patio has a variety of pots and a fish pond. Parking is easy.
The Secret Garden at Serles House in Wimborne also opens on Sunday (10th). Alan Titchmarsh described this amusingly creative garden as "one of the best 10 private gardens in Britain". Hopefully, that accolade is enough to whet ones appetite for a visit.

Another wonderful weather forecast down in Dorset this weekend so why not make the most of this opportunity to visit some amazing gardens.

This Sunday 26th April we have both The Old Rectory and Western Gardens opening their gardens.

It's hard to compress the appeal of The Old Rectory in Litton Cheney in to a short description, there are so many aspects to this beguiling space. There's a good reason it has been featured on BBC Gardener's World!

Western Gardens near Poole is a magical 1 acre garden created over 50 years. The multi faceted garden is enhanced by wood sculptures and topiary and visitors will soon realise why it opens this time of year.
