🌟 Celebrating Our Unsung Heroes 🌟

The heart of every school isn't found in a building – it's found in the people who go above and beyond every day to help others thrive.

One of the most special moments of this year's Boundless Festival was the opportunity to recognise our incredible Unsung Hero Award winners.

These outstanding members of our school communities exemplify the very best of GLF Schools. Through their kindness, dedication and unwavering commitment, they make a lasting difference to the lives of pupils, colleagues and families. Whether supporting learning in the classroom, providing care behind the scenes, or helping their school community flourish in countless other ways, their impact is truly immeasurable.

While they may not seek recognition, their contributions deserve to be celebrated. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our Unsung Heroes and grateful for the passion, positivity and commitment they bring to our schools every day.

πŸ’™ To every Unsung Hero nominated by their school: thank you for the difference you make to children, colleagues and communities across GLF every day.

✨ What a fantastic way to celebrate another incredible year of the Boundless Festival! ✨

The GLF Schools community came together on 3 July for the Boundless Festival Celebration Assembly, marking the culmination of an extraordinary year of events, competitions and achievements.

Hosted by Glyn School, led by the brilliant Harry Moulding, and streamed across the Trust, the celebration recognised the enthusiasm, creativity and determination shown by students throughout the year. From sport and the arts to sustainability challenges and cultural events, Boundless continues to provide opportunities for young people to connect, grow and thrive.

A particularly moving part of the morning was the presentation of the Unsung Hero Awards, recognising members of staff whose dedication makes a difference every day.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Boundless Festival such a success. We look forward to all that Boundless 2026–27 will bring!

It's been a couple of weeks since our Drama, Art & Eco Showcase at Highdown School & Sixth Form Centre, but the memories are still fresh.

It was fantastic to see students from across our schools sharing their performances, artwork and environmental projects with one another. The energy throughout the day, the conversations around the exhibitions and the confidence students showed made it a real highlight of the summer term.

Congratulations again to all our winners, and thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success.

What a fantastic way to bring the Boundless Festival to a close! πŸŽ‰

Hosted at Highdown School & Sixth Form Centre, our Art, Drama and Eco Showcases gave students the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, talent and hard work - celebrating both finalists and winners.

The standard on display was exceptional. From performances of Annie, Mary Poppins, Oliver and Matilda, to original plays, singing and dancing from our youngest pupils, the studio was filled with energy and creativity.

Our Eco Project students impressed with imaginative designs for sustainable cities, while our artists showcased an outstanding range of creative work.

The event was expertly compered by Jack Pepper, GLF Foundation Ambassador and alumnus - often described as β€˜The King’s Composer’ and the next Andrew Lloyd Webber. Jack brought fantastic energy throughout and performed In Tune and Harmony, the latter written for The King’s Foundation and premiered at St James’s Palace in June 2025. He even led a few impromptu singalongs!

Huge congratulations to all participants, and especially to our winners:

Primary Drama: Danetree Primary School (It’s A Hard Knock Life – Annie)
Secondary Drama: de Stafford School (Brimstone & Treacle – Mary Poppins)

Primary Eco Project: Cherry Fields Primary School
Secondary Eco Project: de Stafford School

Primary Art: Anej (Longford Park Primary School), Sofia (Cuddington Croft Primary School), Sienna (The Vale Primary School & Nursery), Gloria (Windmill Primary School and Nursery), Ihsaan (Salfords Primary School), Aiyla (Forge Wood Primary School), Cholan (Cordwalles Junior School), Bethany (The Vale Primary School & Nursery)
Secondary Art: Amelie (Highdown School & Sixth Form Centre), Nora (Rosebery School), Pip (Highdown School & Sixth Form Centre), Emilia, Jemima, Heidi, Sarah (all Rosebery School)

Thank you to Highdown School & Sixth Form Centre for hosting, and to staff, students and schools for supporting these valuable opportunities for every pupil to shine.
