Baby Basics Guildford Baby Basics works with midwives, health visitors and other professionals to provide moses baskets and starter kits to families in need in Guildford.

We rely on donations of time, money and baby essentials in order to provide the best quality parcels to those who are struggling with their newborn babies. 🚼 PRAM DONATIONS NEEDED 🚼

Good morning everyone!

We currently have NO PRAMS in stock and would be incredibly grateful if anyone has a pram they no longer need and would be willing to donate.

To keep our babies safe, all donated prams must:
✅ Be suitable from birth (either with a bassinet/carrycot or fully lie flat)
✅ Have working brakes
✅ Have a fully functioning 5-point harness
✅ Have no punctured wheels
✅ Be clean and ready to use
✅ Ideally not be too large, as we have limited storage space and many of the families we support don’t have space for large prams
✅ Double buggies are also welcome!

As a small charity run by volunteers, we simply don’t have the time or resources to repair or refurbish prams. We safety-check every donation and give it a final wipe before passing it on, so we really appreciate donations being in good working order.

If you have a pram you’d like to donate, please email [email protected] to arrange drop-off.

Thanks to your kind generosity, we are currently very well stocked. Please do not drop off any clothes for at least the next few weeks! I will let you know when we are accepting again

Good morning,
Not like me to do a morning post!
I'm just coming on to say my goodbyes.
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank every single one of you for supporting baby basics and me over the past 4years!
I have to say special thanks to my beautiful volunteers Debbie and Donna as without them I wouldn't have been able to keep BB going! They are the most beautiful, selfless people and I'm so thankful I had them with me. To all those who supported with donations, thank you. Especially Anne P, you really don't know how much your kindness and generosity every month was so appreciated, you're a very special lady. To our lovey knitters, thank you for giving such beautiful hand knitted gifts to the little ones we support. To the midwife's, social workers and all other healthcare professionals that did referrals to us, I have loved every minute of getting to know you all and I love that we have been able to help those who need us!
It's goodbye from me but I hand baby basics over to Robyn who will be at the end of an email and Debs and Donna will still be there doing what they do so well! And think I might be popping up as it's to precious to completing let go off!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, baby basics has meant the world to me, it saved me in some ways I didn't even realise at the time! If you ever get the opportunity to volunteer to a worthy cause do it! It feels your heart so much!

Good Evening all,
I am so sorry for the lack of updates and communications!
Firstly the donation point is open!!! It will be open Monday-Friday between 9.30am-1pm term time only going forward. If you cant drop within this time please get in touch.
We are open for all our usually donations but are low on the following:
🩵Moses baskets
🩵Baby baths
🩵Baby bath towels
🩵Moses basket sheets
🩵Neutral colour bibs
🩵Breast pads and maternity pads
🩵Baby books and comforters

We are also getting low on our pram stock and have quite a few needed over the coming month's!

I will be handing over things in the coming weeks, so please bare with the team whilst they adapt to the new set up!
I will be on here before then though!
