Grimsby Aid To Ukraine

Today was emotional to say the least, we got the opportunity to see first hand how your kind donations impact those receiving them. The people supported by Charitable Foundation F.O.N.D. are both local and from wider areas of Ukraine, many from occupied areas who have had to flee for their lives with little more than the clothes they were stood in!

It's hard to comprehend what they have been through, but we take comfort form witnessing what F.O.N.D are doing to support them, it's is nothing short of incredible! but none of this could be possible without your generous donations, so we want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of our supporters, we love every single one of you!

So, today saw us get up nice and early so we could get to our final drop, the Charitable Foundation F.O.N.D. An incredible foundation that has a massive impact, helping those who need it most!

We also delivered a special parcel from MERMAID MINIATURE DOLLS HOUSE CLUB IN MABLETHORPE for the children here, there will be more to follow on this so keep your 👀 peeled!

Today we said goodbye until next time to Steve, who had a further mission to begin immediately (an absolutely relentless man and his Green Goddess).

It was a pleasure as always to support Tim with his Huddersfield to Ukraine Humanitarian Aid delivery, sadly tonight will be my last night here with Tim before we go our separate ways, oh and dinner will be, errrm late or cold ⚠️ 🚨🖕🇷🇺😅

So today saw us out and about networking with some incredible people at the monastery here in Ivano Frankivsk.

They do a fantastic job of supporting and looking after children and young adults with learning disabilities, offering a variety of support, such as voluntary employment opportunities, craft sessions, and music sessions to name but a few. You can see they make a real difference to their lives. 💙💛

Sadly our time here was short lived, because we had to move on for our next drop with our friends at the Charitable Foundation Dawn Dew. I had a special errand to complete for the Ukrainian Culture Hub in Grimsby, who had tasked me with bringing some hand made gifts to the soldiers of Ukraine 🇺🇦 needless to say, we are excited to see the photos of the soldiers receiving their gifts in the coming weeks :)

Our 2nd day saw us in Ivano Frankivsk having covered a massive 1200 miles already. We headed to our first drop of the trip, meeting with our good friends who we proudly support.

As always, we proudly supported Tim and his incredible team at Huddersfield to Ukraine Humanitarian Aid who set the bar for quality aid incredibly high! Tonight we sleep, ready for more deliveries tomorrow!

So my journey began on Friday 25th September, making the long trip towards Ukraine. Passing through, Holland 🇳🇱 Germany 🇩🇪 and Poland 🇵🇱 where I picked up Tim of Huddersfield Humanitarian Aid to Ukraine, before continuing through the border into Ukraine 🇺🇦 and on to our first stop in Ivano Frankivsk feeling extremely tired and exhausted 🇺🇦 🇬🇧 💙💛

Whilst many of you slept peacefully, the city of Kyiv was wide awake. In just one night we experienced over 10 alerts and multiple explosions rocking the city throughout the night, this is the cold reality for many people every single day 💙💛🇺🇦

Some things we take for granted, one, is that we are safe when we go to a supermarket to do our weekly shop, imagine you are walking around your local supermarket and out of nowhere BOOM 💥 in an instant your life is changed forever, people around you are screaming, injured, dying, children amongst them, it's almost impossible to comprehend right? Well for the people of Kryvyi Rhi it was reality, people went shopping to never go home!! At least 16 dead and around 140 injured, no one should be subjected to this evil

So early this morning the city of Kiev awoke once again to the terrorist alarm clock sent by Putin, the sound at the beginning is the echo from the blast and then the smoke plume rising. Ukrainians wake to this regularly :(
