Not Home Alone was started in November 2014, we as no doubt many other read the stories in the press about loneliness and senior citizens and each year we used to say wouldn't it be nice if there was a way we could invite someone into our family and enjoy Christmas with us. Christmas 2014 after a lot of hard work and the most unbelievable support from the local community we managed to fundraise an
d cover the cost to pick up, entertain and cook for our guests, who otherwise would have been Home Alone. The amazing support for our shoe box campaign enabled us to give gifts to all our guest AND deliver gifts to another 441 senior citizens in Louth, Scunthorpe, Brigg, Grimsby and Cleethorpes as well as drop some to the hospital. We started as a small group of people my mum Wendy Nielsen, my brother Guy Bryant, my husband John Stobart and myself, I'm Nina Stobart. In August 2016, Not Home Alone became a registered charity and started on its next exciting chapter. We are completely humbled by the support that we have received and it is an honour to make a difference to people's live, making friendships and memories.
