Our Impact Report is here and what a six months it has been!

I’m delighted to share the latest CMA Debt Centre Greenwich Impact Report, looking back at our work from January to June 2026.

Behind every statistic in this report is a person, a family and a story.
Over these six months, we have continued to walk alongside people facing debt, financial hardship, benefit difficulties, unemployment and some incredibly challenging circumstances. Alongside our core debt and welfare rights work, we’ve also been able to develop our wider community support through initiatives including our Job Club, practical skills programmes and partnership working.

None of this happens in isolation. We are enormously grateful for our volunteers, trustees, churches, community organisations and corporate partners who work alongside us, refer residents to us, provide resources and help make this support possible.

Our Impact Report gives us an opportunity to stop for a moment and recognise what has been achieved, but we’re already looking ahead.

This autumn, we are launching our Autumn Fundraising Campaign, helping us deliver the next round of CAP Life Skills, CAP Money and CAP Job Club programmes for residents in our community.

We often say that God gives us 365 opportunities for a new start every year. Our hope is that, through our Debt Centre our CAP courses, we can help more people find the confidence, practical support and encouragement they need to take theirs.

At our recent Job Club, we have been supporting a gentleman who had been unemployed for some time and recently completed our 8-week CAP Job Club and Breakthrough into IT Skills Cours.

Throughout the programme, he worked incredibly hard to rebuild his confidence, improve his CV and develop his interview skills. During his time with us, he also stayed on after sessions to learn new IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, something his wife shared she never imagined he would take an interest in before. Seeing his confidence grow week by week has been a real encouragement to our team.

He previously qualified as a forklift driver and is now seeking to complete a refresher course to renew his certification. Funding this training would significantly improve his employability, widen his job opportunities and help him move towards greater independence and stability for his family.

As a team, we are supporting him through a combination of our hardship fund and crowdfunding through Acts435. We want him to experience the power of kindness, community and people believing in him after all the hard work and commitment he has shown over recent months.
