1st Greenisland Boys' Brigade

1st Greenisland Boys' Brigade The Boys' Brigade provides a balanced programme of activities for children and young people from 5 to 18 years old.

These resources have been developed to help volunteer youth leaders work in a relevant and creative way. We hope through these programmes they will be able to make a positive contribution to a young person's life and be able to share their faith.

At the weekend, three of our senior boys were in Falkirk ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ representing our company and BBNI in the national FIFA finals. The boys finished third ๐Ÿฅ‰ which is a super achievement as it was our first time entering this competition. Congratulations to Kyle, Jamie and Tom and thanks to Peter for taking the boys to several qualifying rounds and coaching throughout the tournament ๐Ÿ‘ โš“๏ธ

We visited Stormont Parliament Buildings as a guest of MLA and former captain of our company, Stewart Dickson. The trip rounded off our politics classes held throughout the year and the boys had the opportunity for a Question Time in the chamber with Stewart, however, the only time order was called was at McDonalds on our way homeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿฅ Great evening had by all.

Last night the junior section footballers were in action at the East Antrim Battalion 5 a side finals. They played 1st Ballyclare in the final and in a very close match won 1-0 in the last minutes of extra time! Well done boys we are very proud of you
