We will be running at stall at the St Michael's Church Summer Fete on Saturday between 10am and 2pm. Weather permitting this will be held in the vicarage garden but will relocate to the church if the forecast isn't favourable.

They can be dropped off at our shop at Torrington Station during opening hours on Thursday's or contact us to arrange alternative options if easier. Thank you 😊

Thank to you to the May Queen & Entourage for paying us a visit today and to the many other people who came along to ride the Mayfair Special 🚉
The introduction of a new children's educational trail was very popular today, helping them to learn more about the railway history in Great Torrington 🚂
Many prizes were also won on our stalls sending visitors on their way with teddies and other items in hand 🧸
Finally many thanks as always to our volunteers for making the day so successful 😀

Head down to Torrington Station today to ride the Mayfair Special 🚉.
We were joined bright and early by our special guests the May Queen & her Entourage 👸 who have now gone off to perform other duties in the town.
We are running the train every half hour throughout the day until 3.30pm (other than a small gap for lunch).
We have a selection of stalls with some wonderful prizes to win🧸 and our shop is open selling a selection of railway merchandise, toys, and other items.
The sun is shining brightly 🌞, come on down and join in the fun 😃

Join us for our Mayfair Special event tomorrow between 10.00 and 16.00 at Torrington Station.

The May Queen and her Entourage will be joining us first thing as our special guests for a ride on the first train of the day 👸

We will have a variety of stalls in the yard, Jan's infamous Straw Game, a Teddy Bear Tombola with over 100 prizes 🧸, the Commons Conservators with their Wine, Water or Maybe Cider stall 🍾, Margaret's handmade items in aid of the Alzheimers Society together with information about the original Mayfair Special which ran in 1978 🚉

The Brake Van will be open for viewing once again with our new slideshow in operation inside and of course our shop will be open selling railway merchandise, toys and much more 📚🧩

The Commons will be open for additional parking if it is full down at the railway, we recommend dropping your passengers off if they have mobility issues as the path down over is quite steep.

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow 😀

This weekend (18th April) we will restart our monthly Saturday working sessions - this enables volunteers to attend who aren't able to make our usual Thursday working day due to other commitments.

We are always looking for people to join our team so please don't hesitate to come along and find out more about us. We will be on site from 10am until 3pm and our shop will be open selling Tarka Valley Railway merchandise, model railway items, homemade jam and chutney, books, toys, puzzles and much more.

We are having a lot of fun at the railway today with train rides, the Easter Bunny and many stalls to win some wonderful prizes. If you find it difficult to park when you arrive you are welcome to park on the Commons at the top of the hill and walk down over Carriage Path to reach the station.
