🌈 A message of solidarity from Thurrock LGBTQ+ Network 🌈

Following the publication of the EHRC’s new Code of Practice on Services, Public Functions and Associations, we know many in our community are feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, or simply tired. It’s a substantial document, and it will take time for organisations and individuals to fully understand what it means in practice.
During moments like this, our commitment remains unchanged.

At Thurrock LGBTQ+ Network, we stand firmly for inclusion, dignity and safety for every LGBTQ+ person in our borough. We are here for our trans and non‑binary community, for q***r young people finding their voice, for older LGBTQ+ residents who have lived through decades of change, and for anyone who needs connection, reassurance or a place to belong.

Our strength has always come from looking after one another — listening with compassion, showing up with kindness, and making sure no one feels isolated or left behind.

Whatever the coming weeks bring, please know this: You are valued. You are part of this community. And you are not facing this alone.

Now, more than ever, unity matters in Thurrock.
