Social media would have you believe that knife crime is on the rise.

This isn’t true.

Latest figures show that knife crime is down by 11% and overall homicides are down by 7% - since July 2024.

Fatal knife attacks are also at their lowest level in 35 years.

There is still more work to be done, but we will continue to drive down crime and restore confidence in policing.
