What an incredible night for Smile for Life!

A huge thank you to our amazing Yukon paddler and friend Kevin Guthrie and his lovely family for arranging an inspiring and entertaining talk with ‘Big Les’ Ferdinand Grand Hotel Gosforth Park on Friday evening. Kevin’s hard work and dedication brought this fantastic event together to raise funds towards the work of our charity.

The evening was filled with great stories, laughter, generosity and community spirit, culminating in a brilliant auction that helped raise an outstanding £8,265!

Every pound raised will help us continue making a difference to the lives of the children, young people and families we support.

Thank you to everyone who attended, donated, bid in the auction and helped make the evening such a tremendous success. Together, you’re changing lives.
But special thanks to Kevin and Les Ferdinand for making this happen🙌🙌👏👏👏💜💛

Huge thanks to Kevin Taylor and everyone at A1 blinds for giving our young people such an enjoyable and interesting tour of their showroom and factory, demonstrating the machinery and meeting all of their team. This gives our young people knowledge and understanding of the many different roles within the company and helps them to make good choices about their future, as some of them work hard towards paid employment. During a lovely breakfast spread, Kevin and his team answered lots of questions about the company and careers and kindly awarded everyone with a Smile For Life/A1 branded cap! Thank you so much to the team for opening your doors to our brilliant young people x👏👏👏💜💛🪟
