The last bow has been tied and the last gift given and we've come to the end of our “Give A Gift” Christmas toy appeal for 2025. We have been absolutely blown away by the generosity of the people of Goole. Both in terms of how many toys we received and in the time people are willing to volunteer to help our cause.

So thank you!

Thank you to Goole Lions whose support and advice has been perhaps even more valuable than the money they donated to the cause.

Thank you also to the Goole Times for supporting and promoting “Give A Gift”. I don't imagine this would have been as successful without your promotion and support.

Thank you to everyone who works at the businesses that acted as our collection points: Tesco, TSB, Halifax, Goole Times, Junction, Moorlands and Windsor Court. Without you there would have been no toys collected. You are amazing and we appreciate the extra work this will have meant to the staff who work there.

Thank you to everyone who referred a family for help. We had referrals from various local organisations, schools and local people and we appreciate the extra work this put on your plates at an already busy time of the year. Without you we would have had no children to receive the toys so thank you.

Thank you very much also to the staff who work at the leisure centre (currently located at Goole College). Without this central location to act as our storage and sorting room I'm not sure what we would have done.

But mainly thank you to every last person who donated a toy, we received over 850 toys which was beyond our wildest expectations! We kept picking up trolley after trolley full of toys which I think shows just what a strong and generous community we have here in Goole.

Our donation points and referrals are now closed! Thank you to everyone who has donated a present or made a referral.

We will still be working hard behind the scenes organising and sorting. We will be in touch shortly to organise collection or delivery. 🎄🎁🎅

We are now opening Give a Gift referrals to the public. If you are aware of a family who may need a bit of extra TLC this Christmas, please Facebook message us for a referral form. All families put forward, should be advised that you are referring them, however there is no other criteria that has to be met.

Please be assured all information will be kept confidential, to comply with GDPR laws and regulations. Our revised final day to accept referrals is this Friday, the 5th December.
