The Future of Timebanking In Your Area
We are writing to you to update you about opportunities to become involved in timebanking once again locally.
Timebanking UK is developing a new time bank for the Huntingdon area to enable local people to benefit from exchanging their skills and time to improve their health and wellbeing whilst helping members of the local community.
Timebanking UK is keen to support the continuation of a local time bank through individuals, or a community organisation, that might be willing to run the time bank for its local members and we will be looking for support with getting things moving again.
This email is to ask you to confirm that you still wish to be a member of a local time bank?
To hold your data securely we currently use a computer system called Time on Line 2, which has allowed us to store your contact details. We will continue to use this system. If you want to be part of the new timebank then we need your consent. We will not share your data without your permission.
Susan Lawson (nee Simpson), who many of you will know from Godmanchester Community Time Bank, is working with us to enable the development of timebanking locally.
As part of this we wanted to let you know that we will be having a stall at the Huntingdon Volunteer and Community Fair on Saturday 20 June 10am - 1pm at the Huntingdon Methodist Church, 17 High Street, Huntingdon PE29 3TE. Why not come along, bring friends and family, and learn more about our plans to support you?
If you have any further questions at this stage please contact Susan at [email protected] or call 0776 791 0875. For more information on Timebanking UK please feel free to visit our website at www.timebanking.org
Together, we hope that we will be able to re-energise a local time bank for existing, and new, members alike.
