I (Andy Portman) bring over 33 years experience as group facilitator and healer. In the early 80’s I trained in rebirthing (Conscious Breathwork), relationship work and Shiatsu. I met my late wife in 1987 and we started working together shortly afterwards. As our work developed we specialised in the area of relationships and sexuality. We held regular weekend, long term groups, healing camps and p
ractitioner trainings from then on. Together we fully engaged with the Taoist meditation and energy practices for over twenty five years. We integrated these Taoist meditations and sexual healing practices into our work in groups and sessions for twenty years until Ella died of Myeloma in 2012. Since then I have been on a journey with presence beyond death and the conscious awakening that it opens to, which is now expanding my work. Starting in 1998 we developed the five acre site here at Avalon Permaculture Gardens as a personal growth centre where we hold a range of courses and individual sessions that give support for making real and healthy changes in life, relationships and in the world. APG provides a haven away from the busyness of modern life – a place to reconnect with nature and with yourself in a simple and direct way. It is now a feast of naturally growing orchards, gardens, meadows and trees - a rich, natural biodiversity. Here, in a small community, we live and grow in harmony with nature. We live simply, close to the earth in our self built natural eco dwellings - with a low carbon footprint.
