Sea Cadets Glasgow has three able cadets at our unit and each one is away this weekend representing the unit/district at three different events/activities! 🤩

Good luck this weekend to:

- AC Cameron who is away at Sea Cadets Port Edgar Boat Station to complete their RYA Assistant Dinghy Instructor course ⛵️

- AC Eve who is heading to HMS Dalriada to undertake their leading cadet promotion board ⚓️

- AC Noah who is travelling to MOD Caledonia to take part in the NA Drill and Piping Competition as an individual piper🎼

RNCF WOMEN’S FORUM 2026

A space to connect, share experiences and shape the future.

The RNCF Women’s Forum brings together volunteers and staff from across the Royal Navy Cadet Forces for a day of connection and collaboration.

With speakers, workshops and open discussion, we will explore women’s experiences within the RNCF and focus on practical ideas to support recruitment, retention and progression.

A huge thank you to everyone at HMS Dalriada for hosting Sea Cadets Glasgow last Wednesday! 🤩

Our cadets had an incredible opportunity to get a taste of life in the Royal Naval Reserve by getting hands-on experience with exciting activities like P2000 boat handling simulators, practical navigation, and trying to get into firefighter rig (harder than it looks! 👨🏼‍🚒)

Hearing from experienced reservists provided valuable insight into maritime careers. ⚓

We may have some future reservists in the making!
Although it might take some of our cadets a while to grow into that PPE...

Last week Sea Cadets Glasgow swapped the parade ground for the Panto – and what a night it was! 🎭✨

A huge thank you our admin officer Mrs Bookham, and to the Creative Learning Team and the Box Office & Ticketing Team at The King's and Theatre Royal Glasgow for making sure we could be part of the festive fun. We’re so grateful! 🙌

This year’s show was “The Little Mermaid” 🧜🏼‍♂️🦀🔱

Packed with laughs, music, and proper panto magic. The cadets loved every minute! 🤩🫧

It’s been a busy month for the unit. Parades weren’t the only thing keeping our cadets on their toes! After plenty of hard work getting ship shape for our unit review, it was time to kick back and celebrate with our Halloween Party! 🎃

There were ghosts, goblins, ghouls… and even a flamingo roaming around! 🦩

Our cadets got stuck into dookin’ for apples, wrapping each other up as mummies, and battling to get donuts off a string (a game the staff might have enjoyed even more than the cadets...).

It’s safe to say this new tradition is one we’re hoping sticks around for many years to come! 👻

Sea Cadets Glasgow have been on parade recently! 🤩

We had the privilege to be part of both the Remembrance Sunday service in the Bute Hall at the University of Glasgow. As well as the Glasgow Remembrance Sunday service at St Mungos Cathedral. Thanks also to the Glasgow University Royal Naval Unit for inviting us to their unit after the parade/service ⚓

Also, back in October, our cadets and CFAVs were able to represent the unit at the Annual Glasgow Seafarers service at St Mungos Cathedral, alongside other units from Sea Cadets - Clyde North District.
