The District experience week at HMS Raleigh (WM Code 1114403) is bearing down on us at a steady pace. Bookings close on 22 May so if you wish to attend then please get your application in. There are only 4 cadet places left and we could use some more adult support. Please try to support the event.

However, and quite correctly, F&T personnel will always have priority over us.

With great pleasure I can advise that we have a new Chief Petty Officer in Clyde North District.
CPO Conor Moloney of TS Queen Elizabeth- Clydebank Unit, was successful at the recent Northern Area CPO/CSgt promotion board and received his promotion certificate from Cdr Graham Tait our SSO.
Congratulations Chief on a well deserved promotion!

On March 14th 2026 Clyde North and Clyde South Districts held their second Leading Cadet and Petty Officer Cadet promotion board at HMS Dalriada Royal Navy Reserve Centre in Glasgow - .
14 Cadets from Glasgow, Clydebank, Helensburgh, East Kilbride, Ardrossan, Ayr, Irvine and Stewartry Units presented themselves for assessment and all were a pleasure to meet and work with.
Not everyone was successful but there is only a small amount of work to do for those cadets and they too will achieve success. Deep gratitude goes out to all the Volunteers who helped make the day a great success.
Also, once again a massive thank you to HMS Dalriada for allowing us use of their establishment in particular the CO, Lt Cdr Barry Stephen RN and the Unit Asst. OPs Officer WO1 Tony Morrin. I believe having their promotion board at an RN Establishment inspires the cadets to do their best and the opportunity to conduct Colours with a White Ensign on behalf of DALRIADA is hugely inspiring for them. I look forward with eagerness to our next opportunity to work together.

Hat trick of National Nominations for Clyde North District!

WIth great pleasure I can announce (later than planned) that at last weekends Sea Cadets Northern Area Conference THREE of our Units were selected to be Northern Area Nominees for NAtional Trophies!
Airdrie & Coatbridge Unit were nominated for the Indefatigable Trophy for the most improved Unit.
Ardrossan and Largs Unit were nominated for The McBeath Trophy for a special mention for a Unit who has displayed a particularly meritorious performance.
and
East Kilbride Unit were nominated for The Colditz Trophy for the Unit who has had the greatest impact on their local community by engaging in Community and social action.

An absoloutely amazing result to have three Nominees from one District which is a very rare occurence. Many congratulations go to the worthy Nominees and fingers crossed as we look forward to the National results.

It gives me great pleasure to also announce today that PO Rowan Daly of Clydebank Unit has been appointed as the District Recruitment and Onboarding Champion - a mandatory role managed by MSSC.
Rowan has extensive experience in this field as a former GDW in Sea Cadets.
Thank you Rowan for stepping up to assist the Units in the recruitment and onboarding process. I look forward to seeing the benefits of the work and to working alongside you.
