We recently delivered our ‘Girls, Let’s Talk’ session as part of our commitment to empowering the young women in our community. Together, we explored volunteering, civic participation, active citizenship, cultural appreciation, and the importance of having a voice in shaping our community’s future.

We are incredibly proud of our youth members for engaging so confidently, sharing their opinions, and taking part in every activity with enthusiasm. Their energy, ideas, and openness truly made this session special. 💛✨

A heartfelt thank you to our guest speakers, Samina and Safa, for inspiring our young people and showing them the power of leadership, identity, and community involvement. Your presence made a huge impact!

We delivered our final session of the Engagement & Participation (E&P) Project! A powerful Breast Cancer Awareness session aimed at supporting and educating the women in our community. 💗

This session helped our members learn about early detection, self-examination, screening options, and the importance of seeking help early. Most importantly, it created a safe, supportive space for women to talk openly about their health.

We’re incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved throughout the E&P project, from building confidence, raising awareness, increasing knowledge, and empowering our community with essential life skills and health information.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, supported, volunteered, and showed up for themselves and for each other. Together, we continue to build a stronger, healthier community. 🌸💪

Engagement & Participation – NHS Health Check Session

Another successful Engagement & Participation session completed! 🙌
This time, our focus was on NHS Health Checks, where community members had the opportunity to receive essential health screenings, learn about prevention, and access guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

We were delighted to see such an excellent turnout and active participation. The session not only raised awareness about key health issues but also empowered individuals to take proactive steps towards improving their well-being.

A huge thank you to our NHS partners and everyone who took part in making this impactful session possible. Together, we continue to build a healthier, more informed community. 💪

On 3rd August, NLMWA hosted another successful Engagement & Participation Session with our amazing youth leaders.

The session was filled with energy, ideas, and collaboration as young people came together to discuss and plan:
✅ The upcoming Youth Open Day Event
✅ Civic participation and leadership
✅ Cultural heritage and identity
✅ Volunteering opportunities..…and much more!

It was inspiring to see our youth take the initiative, share their voices, and play a leading role in shaping a stronger, more inclusive community!

A huge well done to all the youth leaders who participated, you are the driving force behind empowering the next generation! 🙌
