We all experience fear but it manifests differently for everyone.

If you wait until you are not afraid before you take action you may never move.

The bravest people aren’t necessarily those who feel no fear.

They’re the ones who feel it, acknowledge it, and keep moving toward the life they want anyway.

We’re delighted to be partnering with the amazing social enterprise, Scottish Design Exchange!

Over the Christmas period, they’ll be collecting donations for the Talbot Association to help support our work with people experiencing homelessness.

We’ll also be working together to develop creative activities. Scottish Design Exchange receives donations of art supplies, and through this partnership, the people we support will have access to these materials to explore their creativity.

A huge thank you to the Scottish Design Exchange team for their generosity and enthusiasm. We’re really looking forward to building this partnership and seeing what we can create together!

Today, on Founders’ Day, we remember and thank all those who came before us at the Talbot Association.

We share this photograph of Vincent Buchanan and his papal knighthood as we reflect on the compassion, commitment and belief in people that are at the heart of our work.

We honour the founders, staff, volunteers and supporters who have helped shape Talbot over the years, alongside the people we have supported, whose lives and stories are part of our own.

Their legacy lives on every time someone is welcomed, listened to and treated with dignity. We are grateful to carry that work forward, holding onto the belief that everyone deserves kindness, safety and a place to belong.

Thank you to all who laid the foundations, and to everyone who continues this work today.

You should not underestimate the impact of your encouragement.

Reminding someone of their strength, and helping them take that next step might seem like a small thing, but it can actually mean everything.

Your words could be the reason someone believes in themselves and does something amazing with that belief.

🎬 What a wonderful evening at Glasgow Film Theatre!

Our sold-out screening of Matt Talbot: Urban Mystic brought people together to share a powerful story and connect with the work of the Talbot Association.

A heartfelt thank you to the Glasgow Film Theatre staff for their warmth, kindness and support. You went above and beyond to help make the evening a success, and we are so grateful. 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our Board Chair, Julie, for her lovely opening words. It was about more than watching a film it was an opportunity to build connections, share our purpose and welcome people who want to get involved.

If the evening inspired you to learn more, volunteer or support our work, we would love to hear from you.

One of the most important things we can do is simply pay attention.

To notice this moment. To see one another as we really are.

To the ordinary wonders we so easily overlook.

Not everything meaningful needs to be searched for or achieved.

Sometimes, it simply needs our attention.
