Our most recent open meeting was a discussion between interested plotholders on the topic of preventing and dealing with conflict, led by invited guest facilitator Verene Nicolas.

We've written up the discussion into a short (1.5-page) report:

- if you're a committee member, perhaps this could help you think about the way things are managed on your site
- if you're a plotholder, maybe it could help you think about other ways to communicate with people around you, or it might give you suggestions you could take to your committee!

The recent open meeting focused on conflict prevention and resolution, facilitated by Verene Nicolas. Participants identified various types of conflict and shared strategies for management. A conci…

Trialing something new... Glasgow City Council send us regular updates on funding opportunities every few weeks.

We occasionally get plotholders telling us they wish they knew where to get money to develop their allotment sites, especially for their communal areas, or to support annual events.

We'll try summarising these bulletins for everyone - but we're volunteer-led, so forgive us if we don't keep on top of this all year-long. We'll post them on the GAF Website alongside our own two awards - the New Plotholder Awards and the (upcoming, inaugural) Plotting On Awards:

https://glasgowallotments.org/awards-and-funding/

Key grants include the Glasgow 850 Festival Fund for community events (up to £850), University of Glasgow’s GRID Civic Grants (up to £5,000), Ofgem’s Energy Redress Scheme for renewable…
