What a fantastic PVCL session last Tuesday, whittling and axing to some amazing woodwork creations! 🪓🪵
A huge thank you to Julia and her colleague Helena from Caorann: School of Craft & Building for teaching the women how to carve their very own wooden butter knifes. They guided everyone through each step of the process, adapting techniques to suit all abilities and making sure everyone could take part. Some feedback below from the participants:
'It's hard work on the arms, I feel like I've done a workout' - Wendy
'What a great session to release all your frustrations' - Cathy
'I enjoyed today's class, didn't think I could do that with wood' - Denise
'It was good fun. I'd definitely try it again, a brand new skill for me' - Shona
'Today was the first time I'd done woodwork and I really enjoyed it. I'd definitely do it again' - Misba
It was great to see everyone learning a new skill, building confidence and having lots of laughs. Safe to say the session was a wooden-ful success! 😉
