In light of the recent devastating news and of all the violence against women and girls, we feel the need to remind you that it shouldn’t be all about teaching women to protect themselves, it should be about teaching boys how to behave better.
When women and girls face violence, call out harmful behaviour. Hold other men accountable.
Don’t just raise boys who know not to assault someone. Raise boys who refuse to stay silent when another person crosses the line.
Teach them to speak up, shut it down, protect others, and report it.
Simply not committing the offence isn’t good enough. Looking away is a choice. Do not be complicit.
Teach boys to do better.
