On Saturday 6 June 2026, we’re bringing Riverside Worldwide Festival to the brand new Riverside Park, Govan— a free community music festival celebrating live music, local talent, community spirit and big Govan energy by the river.

Taking place as part of the Commonwealth Games celebrations, the festival will bring together Scottish pop legends, orchestral music, Hip Hop, DJs, choirs, local performers and community groups for a brilliant day out for all ages.

Kinning Park Spogomi 2026 done and dusted with Get Govan Gleaming and ! 🥳

What a great way to bring folk together to make a difference in our area! It was a great success. 👏🏼 People joined us from all over Glasgow, not just Kinning Park! There are loads of people that truly care about Glasgow. 💛

The amount of litter that got picked up in a space of 30mins was staggering. As always, there were some interesting pieces. 😂 Two bed bases, a car bumper and a sign. We awarded prizes of gold, silver and bronze to 3 teams and 3 individuals and medals for everyone.

We had a heap of snacks and refreshments, kindly sponsored by a local business - Urban Office. They are an architect-led development company that specialise in transforming derelict historical buildings for co-working, creative work, community spaces and private offices. This includes The Old Schoolhouse building on Portman Street in Kinning Park where they have a base. This support means a lot to us, thank you! Please find their socials below and check them out!

Less than a week until the Kinning Park Spogomi! 🎉

Join and Get Govan Gleaming for the Kinning Park Spogomi next Saturday. This will be something new for all of us - our first attempt at competitive litter picking!

Litter picking just became a team sport — and it's coming to Glasgow! 🎉

Join and Get Govan Gleaming for the Kinning Park Spogomi on Saturday 16 May! Grab your crew, form a team, and race to collect the most litter. It's competitive, it's community-powered, and every piece picked up is a win for our neighbourhood.

This event is part of the 55 Days of Action marking the 30th anniversary of the Kinning Park Complex sit-in (https://www.kinningparkcomplex.org/about).

What a success, yet again! 🚀

On Saturday we tackled Festival Park and we conquered. We had an amazing turnout with some new faces! I counted 15 in total 🤔 (at this point in time, I recall some folk being in the bushes retrieving bikes and trash behind the fences...)

We are so happy to be able to bring people together and make an impact in our community. We thank every single one of you that were there. We're hoping to see more new faces in the future! If you're interested in joining the litter picking WhatsApp group, message us directly.

We will not be having a litter pick at the end of this month. Instead, we will be joining Get Govan Gleaming for some cleaning up with our neighbours. Check out the details on their page for the 11th of April!
