🏆⚽ CHAMPIONS OF THE INAUGURAL GRAEME CURRIE MEMORIAL CUP 2026 ⚽🏆

What an incredible day of football, friendship, and fundraising as Glasgow Young Masons were crowned winners of the very first Graeme Currie Memorial Cup!
A huge congratulations to everyone involved, with fantastic competition from Dumbarton Young Masons and Lanarkshire Young Masons, whose sportsmanship helped make the tournament such a memorable occasion.

More importantly, this event was about far more than football. Together, we came together to honour the memory of Graeme Currie while raising funds for an incredibly important cause. Every penny raised from the tournament has been donated to The Canmore Trust, a Scottish charity dedicated to creating safe spaces for those impacted by su***de and supporting both su***de prevention and postvention initiatives across Scotland

Thank you to all the players, organisers, supporters, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make the day such a success. Your generosity and community spirit ensured that Graeme's memory was honoured in the best possible way.

It was both an honour and a privilege to attend Lodge St Vincent Sandyford No. 553 last evening, not only to witness and enjoy the Entered Apprentice Degree exemplified by Lodge Knightswood No. 1445, but also to be present for the return of artefacts belonging to the late Brother James Spiers, who made the ultimate sacrifice at Passchendaele in 1917.

The occasion served as a poignant reminder of the enduring bonds of Freemasonry and the importance of preserving the memory and legacy of those Brethren who have gone before us.

Brethren,
On the 6th June, the Dunbarton Young Masons group are hosting a 5 a-side football tournament in memory of PM Graeme Currie. The football will commence at 12:30pm where teams from Dunbartonshire, Lanarkshire Middle Ward and Glasgow will play a series of games to win the Greame Currie Cup!

On the same evening, a race night will be taking place to raise as much money as we can for the Canmore Trust, a charity close to the Currie family's heart and supported them through the tough time of losing Graeme.

This will be £5 entry at the door okay the night. Please look out for group members handing out sheets to buy horses etc.

Sponsorships will cost £25
Horses will cost £3 each or you can buy 3 for £10.
All proceeds on the night will be given to the Canmore Trust. Please provide monies to a group member at your earliest convenience.

We look forward to welcoming you all there on the evening and remember, if you have purchased numbers in the raffle, this will be drawn on that night also!

A great evening at Lodge The Kings Park 1386 tonight learning about the connection between these two historic pictures from the venerable Archie Chalmers. Some lectures can be overly technical and complicated to those new to the craft.. This one hit the sweet spot for some of the Glasgow Young and New Masons in attendance tonight.Thank you once again.
