From the Outer Hebrides to communities across Scotland, your play is making a real difference.

Thanks to players of the Scottish Children's Lottery, Volunteering Hebrides received £9,050 to bring the Building Futures Hebrides Work Experience and Learning Academy to life, a bold, community-led initiative for young people who need a little extra support finding their footing in the world.

This is just one of 165 causes we were able to support in 2025. 💙

"I think it is a lifeline for many in the community." ❤️

Every week at the Space at The Broomhouse Hub in South West Edinburgh, something quietly remarkable happens. Families from all walks of life come together at 'Bookbug at Space' to sing, read, and support one another.

Thanks to the players of the Scottish Children's Lottery, a £8,410 grant has been keeping this vital door open.

In an area facing high child poverty, these sessions start with something incredibly simple yet powerful: a warm breakfast roll for parents and toast for the little ones. But it goes so much deeper than that.

Because of the safe, trusted space built here, one local mum, L, felt comfortable opening up to staff when she was quietly struggling with her mental health and finances. The Space team were able to step in - providing food parcels, Christmas help for her kids, and the support she needed to get back into employment. Today, she’s back in work, and her little one is thriving.

By the end of this funding, around 50 sessions will have welcomed nearly 1,000 children.

Almost £500,000 was distributed to charity in 2025, all thanks to players of the Scottish Children's Lottery.

That funding reached 165 organisations across the country - supporting everything from food initiatives and mental health services to after-school clubs and respite care for families who need it most. Behind every one of those grants is a real community, a real charity, and real children and young people whose lives are a little brighter because of it.

But as proud as we are of what's been achieved, we know it's only part of the picture. We're still turning away good causes simply because we don't have enough funding - and that's something we want to change.

In 2025, the Scottish Children’s Lottery distributed 170 grant awards to organisation supporting children and young people.

The grant awards are only made possible by those who play the Scottish Children's Lottery. The more people that play, the more charities that can be supported.

In 2025, we received 300 applications and awarded 170 grants to charities across Scotland.

This is all thanks to our players! Without you, we couldn't support the children and young people facing hardship across the country.

We managed to fund 57% of these applications, but to keep doing this amazing work, we need more players to join us.
