🏅 Commonwealth Games Celebration – Part 1🏅

What an incredible day! 💜

Members and staff from our **Glasgow, Renfrewshire, Falkirk and Stirling** branches came together to celebrate the Commonwealth Games with a day full of friendly competition, teamwork and fun.

From 🏹 archery to 🚴 smoothie bike races, everyone got involved, earned points for their team and showed amazing team spirit throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Active Communities, Right2Dance and Inspiring Scotland for helping bring this fantastic event to life. We couldn't have done it without you!

✨ Dancing Through the Decades! 🕺💃

Last Saturday, some of our Renfrewshire members enjoyed a fantastic evening at The Glynhill Hotel's *Dancing Through the Decades disco night! 🎶✨

Surrounded by the celebrations of two hen parties and three birthday parties, the atmosphere was full of energy, laughter and great music. Our members danced the night away, enjoyed a delicious two-course meal, and had the chance to meet lots of new people and make new friends. 💜

It was a brilliant evening filled with fun, friendship and unforgettable memories. We can't wait for the next one! 🎉

🌞 Island Adventure to Rothesay! ⛴️🏝️

Last week, our Glasgow and Renfrewshire members enjoyed a fantastic day trip to the beautiful Isle of Bute, visiting the seaside town of Rothesay. 💜

We were incredibly lucky with the weather, making it the perfect day to travel by train and ferry before exploring everything the island had to offer. From discovering the historic castle ruins and browsing the local markets to having fun in the arcade, there was something for everyone.

Of course, no trip would be complete without stopping for a delicious lunch and treating ourselves to some well-earned ice cream! 🍦😋

Everyone headed home with smiles on their faces, bags full of souvenirs, and lots of wonderful memories. We can't wait for the next adventure together! 💚

Last Tuesday, our Glasgow and Renfrewshire members joined our friends at C-Change for a fantastic picnic to celebrate their 25th birthday! 🎉🎂

We enjoyed plenty of delicious food, had lots of fun playing games, tested our knowledge with a quiz, and made the most of a lovely day together in Pollok Park. 🌳☀️

Some of us even took a walk to see the famous Highland cows, which was a real highlight! 🐮💚

A huge thank you to C-Change for inviting us to celebrate this special milestone. Here's to many more years of friendship, fun and working together! 💜

What a fantastic time we had catching up with friends over some delicious food! There were plenty of laughs, lots of smiles and, of course, even bigger desserts! 🍰😄

Getting together like this is what Dates-n-Mates is all about – building friendships, sharing great conversations and creating memories together.

🌈 **What a fantastic day at Glasgow Pride!** 🏳️‍🌈💜

Last Saturday, some of our Glasgow, Renfrewshire and Falkirk members joined us at Glasgow Pride.

We joined thousands of people for the Pride march through Glasgow city centre, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric! 🎉

After the march, we spent time exploring the Pride Village, enjoying the live entertainment, browsing the market stalls, and, of course, treating ourselves to some delicious food from the local food trucks. 🌮🎶✨

It was such a brilliant day spending time together, celebrating love, inclusion and being proud of who you are. ❤️🌈

To top it all off, the weather couldn't have been better! ☀️

Will you be joining us at this year's Love Without Limits Conference 2026? We're teaming up with our friends at Dates-n-Mates Aberdeen for an inspiring afternoon celebrating relationships, love and inclusion.

✨ What to expect:
🎤 Inspiring talks and interactive sessions from Dates-n-Mates, SCLD, Stay Up Late Scotland and more.
💬 A Dates-n-Mates member panel sharing real-life experiences.
❤️ Thought-provoking discussions challenging the stigma around relationships, love and s*x for adults with learning disabilities.
🤝 A fantastic opportunity to meet new people and connect with others from across Scotland.
