Glasgow Bull Terrier Club

Glasgow Bull Terrier Club A monthly meet up group for bull terrier owners living in or around Glasgow. A monthly meet up group for english bull terrier owners.

The Club started in June 2016 when three Instagram Bully friends (Emily, Dayna and Alice) decided to organise a play date for their dogs. Now we regularly have around 15 dogs attend with their families. We meet on the second Sunday of each month outside The People's Palace at the fountain in Glasgow Green. The meet involves a walk around the perimeter of the park with some off leash play if all ar

e happy about that and we have enough space on the green (rainy days are the best as no one else is there!). We then go and sit in the beer garden of West Brewery which is dog and child friendly for a good catchup. All welcome whether you live in Glasgow or not! Any questions just message the Page direct and I'll get back to you.

Roy (also known as Fletcher bull terrier’s dad) passed away on Friday.
He was part of our club for years and his friendly face was seen at so many of our walks.
A lovely man who whose kindness touched so many.
You’ll be missed big fella.

When is the next Bully Walk?
It’s always on the second Sunday of each month.

Where do we meet?
1.30pm at the Doulton Fountain in Glasgow Green. Please note that all dogs must be on leash and under control as per the park’s rules.

What do we do?
Take a slow meander anticlockwise around the park’s perimeter, stop for a group photo at the colourful Commonwealth Games sculpture. Continue the walk to the enclosed doggy play park. Those who want to can enjoy some off leash playtime before going for refreshments at West On The Green which is dog and family friendly.

Who can come?
This is a family event for owners and lovers of the bull terrier breed (often called English bull terrier). It’s an open event so just come along and join the fun and talk about the shenanigans, wants and needs of these loveable egg heads.

Is there parking?
Yes, spaces in and around the park.

Is it wheelchair friendly?
Yes there are no steps on the route.

Do I need to be a club member?
No, the club is an open community social meet up group so if you own a bull terrier, come along.. and even if you don’t, but just love the breed, come along! You’ll be made to feel very welcome. The club was established in 2016 and is a fabulous way to learn more about the dogs and compare experiences with owners of this unique breed of dog.

When is the next one?
We always meet each and every month on the second Sunday, same place, same time

Regular members may recognise Emmy on the right and know her owners Thelma and Stephen. Emmy sadly passed away recently so our hearts go out to her family at this difficult time. Emmy was a regular attendee at almost all of the monthly walks and her absence will be felt by many. Rest in peace lovely girl. You were loved and you will be missed ❤️‍🩹
