A Big Thank You From Acting Up 💜
A few weeks have passed since our showcase, but we didn't want to miss the opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along, cheered on our young people, bought raffle tickets, donated, and helped make the evening such a success.
The showcase was a real celebration of the creativity, commitment and talent of our young people, and we are incredibly proud of everything they achieved.
We're delighted to share that the event raised nearly £500, which will go directly towards supporting the future of the Acting Up project.
A special thank you to the amazing team at The Maryhill HUB and Maryhill Burgh Halls for their ongoing weekly support and encouragement. We are so grateful to have such a welcoming and supportive space for our young people.
Thank you also to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle, including Celtic FC Foundation, Partick Thistle FC, G20 Youth, members of NUC, and all the parents and supporters who contributed. Your generosity helped make the fundraiser a success.
The biggest thank you goes to our young people and their families. Their enthusiasm, fundraising efforts, commitment and belief in the project continue to inspire us. It has been fantastic to see the young people taking ownership, developing leadership skills, and working together to make things happen.
Since January, through fundraising events, crowdfunding, Tesco bag packs, donations and community support, we have raised more than £10,000 to help sustain the group while we continue to seek longer-term funding.
We would also like to thank our funders and supporters, including Maryhill Housing Association and Wheatley Homes Glasgow, for their generous contributions, as well as everyone who supported our campaign.
Community support like this makes a real difference. Thank you for believing in our young people and helping us continue creating opportunities for them to grow, learn and have their voices heard.
