The Premier League is back this weekend.

For many people, the start of the new season brings excitement, but it can also bring an increased temptation to gamble. This weekend, football fans will be inundated with betting adverts, promotions and “free bet” offers. This surge in gambling advertising will increase the temptation to gamble and make it easier to lose control.

You don’t have to gamble to experience gambling harms.

The impact often extends beyond the individual, affecting friends, family members and wider relationships.

From 3 September, RCA Trust will be running dedicated weekly online support groups for anyone affected by another's gambling. If you or someone you know could benefit from free, confidential group support, please contact Wallis, our Women’s Community Connector, at [email protected].

These mixed groups are free and open to everyone.
