What is Civic Participation?

Civic Participation is the way we involve ourselves within our community. It is the active involvement that focuses on the common good. This involvement can take place on a number of different levels such as volunteering within your community to being part of the policy decision making process at a local, national and global level.

Skills development and benefits

Coaching will be tailored around your needs and you will have the opportunity to access civic participation opportunities.

You can also develop skills in areas such as;

Communication by building confidence in public speaking

Committee skills by attending board meetings

Leading workshops to improve presentation skills

Panel discussions using team work skills

IT Skills

Self awareness, self promotion, exploring and creating opportunities

Identifying personal strengths unique to you.

Access to opportunities

The project provides a chance of shadowing opportunities with public and voluntary sector.

This will enable you to have a voice in the wider society.

A certificate of achievement and references will be provided.

Time commitment

Meeting and training sessions are monthly or quarterly.

Messages would be communicated through emails and social media.
