Yesterday, a group of our young people had the privilege of attending Celebrating Scotland's Young People at Team Scotland House in Glasgow.

We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to Team Scotland for inviting One Community Scotland to be part of such a positive and inspiring event. From the live performances and interactive activities to the ceilidh, the afternoon celebrated the talent, diversity and potential of young people from communities across Scotland.

Most importantly, it gave our young people the chance to meet others, build new connections and be part of a national celebration ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2026.

We are incredibly proud of the way our young people represented One Community Scotland and grateful for the warm welcome we received throughout the day.

Thank you for creating such a memorable
experience.

๐Ÿšดโ€โ™€๏ธ One Community Scotland will be Cycling into Summer! โ˜€๏ธ

Last Friday, as part of our Annual Summer Hangout Programme, our young people had an amazing time taking part in a cycling activity delivered in partnership with Cycling Scotland
and Bike for Good

The session was filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences as everyone built their cycling skills, confidence and enjoyed being active together. Activities like these are about so much more than cycling they promote social inclusion, encourage positive mental health and wellbeing, and create opportunities for young people to connect, make new friends, and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.

A huge thank you to and for helping make the day such a success. We can't wait for more exciting Summer Hangout activities! ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŒŠโ›ด๏ธ What a fantastic day at Loch Lomond!

As part of our programme, we organise fun activities every year for the young people who use our services. This year, we treated them to a special island cruise from Balloch and we're delighted to say it was a first-time experience for every single young person who came along! ๐Ÿ˜

The trip gave everyone the chance to step away from their daily routine, spend time together, and take in the stunning scenery of one of Scotland's most beautiful places.

But days like these are about so much more than the views. They help young people to:
โœ”๏ธ Build confidence in social situations.
๐Ÿ’ช Strengthen friendships and make new connections.
๐Ÿ“ฃ Improve communication and teamwork.
๐Ÿค— Feel included and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
๐Ÿค Boost their wellbeing through shared experiences and time outdoors.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. These moments create lasting memories and remind us just how important opportunities like this are for our young people.

There's nothing better than seeing our community come together for another fantastic Games Night! ๐Ÿ’™

Every week, these sessions are filled with laughter, friendly competition, and great conversations. While the games are always fun, it's the connections being made that really matter.

We've seen young people grow in confidence, make new friends, feel less isolated, and simply enjoy spending time together in a safe and welcoming space. Taking time to switch off, have a laugh, and socialise can make a huge difference to mental wellbeing, and it's been amazing to watch these positive changes happen week after week.

Whether it's a competitive board game, a team challenge, or just chatting over a cup of tea, everyone is welcome, and every young person leaves with a smile.

A massive thank you to everyone who comes along and helps make these evenings so special. We can't wait for the next one! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’™

A glimpse into our annual See Me workshops ๐Ÿ“ธ

Over the coming months, young people will be working together to create pieces for this year's exhibition project. These workshops are a space to experiment, learn new skills, share ideas, and develop confidence through creativity.

We're excited to see where their ideas lead and can't wait to share more from the journey.

We are so excited to see everything coming together and to watch participants bring their ideas, creativity, and stories to life.

Sessions like these are about so much more than creating artwork. They provide opportunities to connect with others, build confidence, develop new skills, and express ourselves in a supportive and welcoming environment.

We're incredibly proud of everyone's hard work and can't wait to share the finished exhibition with you all. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far, we're looking forward to celebrating together very soon!

Keep an eye on our page for updates and sneak peeks as we get closer to exhibition day! ๐Ÿ’™

One Community Scotland was delighted to attend the Children in Scotland Annual Conference , bringing together practitioners, young people, policymakers and organisations committed to improving outcomes for children and families across Scotland.

It was an inspiring few days filled with thought-provoking discussions, shared learning, and valuable opportunities to connect with others working across the sector. We were particularly encouraged by the strong focus on collaboration, participation, and ensuring that children and young people's voices remain at the heart of decision-making.

Thank you to Children in Scotland for hosting such an engaging and impactful event, and to everyone we met throughout the conference. We look forward to building on the conversations started there and continuing to work together to create stronger, more inclusive communities across Scotland.

Events like these remind us that meaningful change happens when communities, organisations and young people come together with a shared purpose.

Behind every programme, session, and conversation is a young person working towards something greater for themselves. Whether itโ€™s building confidence, improving wellbeing, developing skills, or simply feeling more connected, these stories remind us that meaningful support can have a lasting impact. We are proud to celebrate the voices and achievements of the young people we work with every day.
