One Community Scotland is looking for a Youth Engagement Worker to join our team in Glasgow. 💛
This is a hands-on role working directly with young people from diverse backgrounds, including young New Scots and racially minoritised communities.
You’ll be supporting young people through: ✨ One-to-one and group work
✨ Youth engagement activities and diversionary programmes
✨ Building positive relationships with young people and families
✨ Connecting young people to community and specialist support
✨ Working alongside schools, Police, Social Work, Health and other partners
✨ Helping young people build confidence, skills and positive pathways
📍 Location: Glasgow
🕐 Hours: 35 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
💷 Salary: £26,000–£28,000
📅 Closing date: Sunday 4 October 2026
📄 Contract: 1 year, with potential extension subject to funding

One Community Scotland is looking to welcome new Board Trustees as we continue to grow and develop our work with young people across Scotland.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from people with HR experience, but we’d also love to hear from individuals with skills or experience in:
💡 Organisational development
📚 Education & research
📣 Communications & marketing
💻 Digital technology
💰 Fundraising
🤝 The wider third sector
You don’t need previous trustee experience. What matters to us is that you’re willing to listen, contribute, ask questions, share your experience and work collaboratively to help shape the future of OCS.
We’re especially keen to hear from people who bring diverse perspectives, lived experience and voices that are currently underrepresented on charity boards.
This is a voluntary role, with approximately five Board meetings each year, and governance training and ongoing support are provided.

🚴🏾‍♀️☀️ Another fantastic day on two wheels! 🚴🏽‍♂️💙

Last week, our young people took part in their second cycling session as part of our Summer Hangout Programme and what a brilliant day it was! 😄

We're delighted that this is the beginning of what we hope will be a long-lasting partnership with Cycling Scotland and

A huge thank you to both organisations for making these sessions fun, welcoming and accessible for everyone. 🙌

The day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and adventure. Our young people enjoyed getting active, making new friends, building confidence, reducing social isolation, and improving their mental wellbeing all while exploring the outdoors. 🌳🚲💚

We can't wait for many more cycling adventures together! 🚴✨

Yesterday, a group of our young people had the privilege of attending Celebrating Scotland's Young People at Team Scotland House in Glasgow.

We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to Team Scotland for inviting One Community Scotland to be part of such a positive and inspiring event. From the live performances and interactive activities to the ceilidh, the afternoon celebrated the talent, diversity and potential of young people from communities across Scotland.

Most importantly, it gave our young people the chance to meet others, build new connections and be part of a national celebration ahead of the Commonwealth Games 2026.

We are incredibly proud of the way our young people represented One Community Scotland and grateful for the warm welcome we received throughout the day.

🚴‍♀️ One Community Scotland will be Cycling into Summer! ☀️

Last Friday, as part of our Annual Summer Hangout Programme, our young people had an amazing time taking part in a cycling activity delivered in partnership with Cycling Scotland
and Bike for Good

The session was filled with fun, laughter, and new experiences as everyone built their cycling skills, confidence and enjoyed being active together. Activities like these are about so much more than cycling they promote social inclusion, encourage positive mental health and wellbeing, and create opportunities for young people to connect, make new friends, and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.

A huge thank you to and for helping make the day such a success. We can't wait for more exciting Summer Hangout activities! 🌟

🌊⛴️ What a fantastic day at Loch Lomond!

As part of our programme, we organise fun activities every year for the young people who use our services. This year, we treated them to a special island cruise from Balloch and we're delighted to say it was a first-time experience for every single young person who came along! 😁

The trip gave everyone the chance to step away from their daily routine, spend time together, and take in the stunning scenery of one of Scotland's most beautiful places.

But days like these are about so much more than the views. They help young people to:
✔️ Build confidence in social situations.
💪 Strengthen friendships and make new connections.
📣 Improve communication and teamwork.
🤗 Feel included and develop a stronger sense of belonging.
🤍 Boost their wellbeing through shared experiences and time outdoors.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. These moments create lasting memories and remind us just how important opportunities like this are for our young people.
